THE DIDEO FILMS PHOTOGRAPHY TEAM

DAVID:   I’ve been doing photography since I was five, trained by my grandfather, Maxwell Frederic Coplan, who photographed everyone from Bob Dylan to Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn to Marilyn Monroe and Alfred Hitchcock.  My grandfather's photography was featured on the covers and pages of every major publication of his day. I learned from my grandfather that there is a magical moment in every shoot, you just need to be prepared to capture it. It may sound crazy, but sometimes when I'm shooting, I can almost hear my grandfather guiding me to those magical moments.

Photography & Filmmaking brought me to Emerson College. After graduation, I was accepted into the prestigious UCLA MFA Screenwriting program. My movie-making ambitions lead me to Hollywood where I worked as a consultant for Batman movie producer Larry Franco, while pursuing my own directing ambitions.  I've developed movies for Donnie Brasco producer Lou DiGiaimo, Constantine Films, Electric Entertainment, A-list Directors and Actors. People always ask why I left L.A. and the short answer is: I could have spent years out there, raising money for movies I wanted to direct and writing and re-writing screenplays,  but what I really wanted to do was make great Film & Photography collections - not just talk about them.

Weddings allow me to put my creativity into action every weekend. I love shooting love stories. No matter how big or small the project, I’m always inspired by our clients' taste and style.  As a Photographer, Director & Cinematographer, I'm always looking for the special moments that allow our team to tell a story in a way that is not only professionally crafted but unique to the personality of the people we photograph.

From the butterflies of prep, to the anticipation and exhilaration of the ceremony, to the pure joy and fun of the party, weddings are a pinnacle in life that should be captured by someone who truly loves what they do. It's a honor to be able to work beside my wife, Danielle, doing what I love,  photographing and filming some of the most amazing moments in people's lives.

DANIELLE:   I have the best job in the world. I get to work with awesome people on the happiest day of their lives, documenting their most intimate moments and capturing some of the biggest grins and most passionate kisses they will ever experience. My style is modern, candid and fun. My approach is fresh, unobtrusive and easygoing. As an artist and pianist I’ve been creating since I was old enough to talk. I’m also a former athlete – All State in tennis and an all-star soccer player – so I have the skills to run and get the shots that you need ☺ On the business side of things, I’m usually the person you’re emailing with. I started my college years at Cornell for business, but deciding to pursue my artistic passions, transferred to NYU. While getting a degree in advertising and marketing I took my share of filmmaking and photography classes. Until I crossed paths with David. Our love for each other, photography and filmmaking birthed Dideo. Having gone through the whole wedding experience myself, I know how important your day is. Each wedding is a unique experience and I approach it as such. I set out to document your day as it happens in a fun and beautiful way, capturing great moments, those small details and the emotion of the day along the way...I love what I do and it shows in my work.

VLAD:   I consider my wedding photography style a creative mix of editorial, fine art and photojournalistic. I really love to see the beauty in people, their open hearts and smiles. I'm a storyteller who doesn't use words. I always challenge myself to capture and translate the moments of your Special Day into a series of creative and unique photographs.

EDISON: I am a visual artist first and foremost. Whether it is seen through stills or video, I have an aesthetic that differentiates me from most others. I love what I do, and you’ll see it. Even better, you’ll enjoy it. Beyond all of the high and mighty artsy talk, I pride myself most on the hard work that I put into it all. It is that same hard work that got me through graduate school where in the not too distant past, I made the leap from a Biology background to my current state of affairs that I call happiness. Though I create the visuals, it’s not about me. It’s about those who will derive the most meaning out of them...you.
